chapter 9 (Last chapter)

~*~Finding Faith and Miracles~*~

“You must learn to walk to the light, and then a few steps into the darkness, then the light will appear and show the way before you.”

“We get better at this as we gain experience.  And often, it just takes a little maturity as we continue to exercise faith to notice that even small miracles have occurred in our lives.  Miracles of how we regard our physical bodies.”

“C.S. Lewis tells: ‘Imagine yourself as a living house.  God comes in to rebuild that house.  At first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing.  He is getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on: you knew that those jobs needed doing and so you are not surprised.  But presently he starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominable and does not seem to make sense.  What on earth is He up to?  The explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of–throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers and making courtyards.  You thought you were going to be made into a decent little cottage:  but He is building a palace.'”

“I testify that if we have faith that Heavenly Father loves us, that the Savior understands our pain and will eventually remove it from us, and that the Holy Ghost will comfort and guide us through this veil of tears, there is still much joy to be had in living.”

“Gordon B. Hinckley said: ‘I feel to invite women everywhere to rise to the great potential within you.  I do not ask that you reach beyond your capacity.  I hope you will not nag yourselves with thoughts of failure.  I hope you will not try to set goals beyond your capacity to achieve.  I hope you will simply do what you can do in the best way you know.  If you do so, you will witness miracles come to pass.'”
